Yuna's Story
Yuna began with a simple wish: to make planning feel more colorful, expressive, and joyful. I’ve always loved stationery, but as a self‑taught artist, I also craved a way to bring more creativity into the everyday. When I combined those two parts of myself — the artist and the planner lover — something shifted. I realized how much planning had shaped me over the years. It helped me grow, stay grounded, and move through life with more clarity. Some of my most defining moments became easier to navigate through simply because I had a planner to guide me.
But there was always one thing that bothered me: why did planner inserts feel so dull?
My art was full of color, emotion, and life…yet the pages I used every day felt flat and uninspired.
For the longest time, it never crossed my mind to design my own planner. Then in 2023, after getting a new iPad for Christmas, I started experimenting with digital templates. Weeks later, I finished my first digital planner — and I loved it. But as much as I enjoyed creating it, nothing could replace the feeling of flipping through real pages. That’s when the idea came to me: What if I made this into a physical planner? The vision was so clear in my mind that creating it felt less like a choice and more like something I was meant to do.
Life got busy though - as usual - and the idea drifted into the background. But in late November 2025, it came back. I finally sat myself down and created the planner I had always imagined. That journey then became Yuna.
The Meaning Behind Yuna
The name Yuna holds the essence of renewal and beauty. To me, it represents the process of moving through life’s messiness and turning it into something meaningful. Yuna is about beginnings — about finding clarity, joy, and a sense of calm even when things feel chaotic.
The Lotus Flower
When I chose the lotus as the logo, I didn’t realize how deeply it connected to my own story. The lotus symbolizes resilience, purity, and rebirth — it blooms beautifully even from muddy waters. Only later did I remember that I have a lotus tattoo that I got over seven years ago! That little moment of synchronicity felt like a sign that I was definitely on the right path.
In the end, Yuna is my way of turning life’s complexities into something beautiful. My hope is that these planners give you what they’ve given me: clarity, creativity, innocence, and the feeling of being one with your inner child again.
With gratitude,
Sarah — Founder of Yuna
